Tech Talk At University of MD

by Kelsey Sartory

On 29 March, Parsons presented a technical talk at the University of Maryland (UMD) for 21 students in the Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students (ACES) program. Devin Elmore, who leads Parsons’ National Cyber Programs, lead the group through a practical discussion about implant command and control architectures while highlighting the importance of strong cyber security practices. The students were challenged to think creatively about how to deter cyber adversaries and monitor networks and computer systems for persistent threats. This technical talk was part of Parsons’ formal relationship with the UMD ACES program, further showcasing Parsons’ commitment to continuing education and the development of a highly skilled cyber security-focused work force. Thanks to UMD faculty and students for hosting this event!
